If you have any questions or suggestions regarding data protection, please feel free to contact us by e-mail at the following address: privacy@envision-entertainment.de
The subject of data protection is personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; this includes, for example, the name or identification numbers.
Our Game is made available to you by the operator of the respective platform from which you obtain our Game (Steam). We are not responsible for the processing of your personal data by these platforms, for example user accounts, provision and download of games or payment processing, but the respective platform. You can find more information in the privacy policy of the respective platform.
Nobody is perfect. If there are ever any bugs in the game, we want to fix them as quickly as possible. That's why we use a crash reporting tool. This tool tells us when the game has crashed and helps us find the cause afterwards and fix it.
The crash report that the tool sends us contains various technical information, such as, in particular, the time of the crash and the error that occurred, but also the IP address of the user where the error occurred. It is - with great effort - basically possible to identify you by your IP address.
Crash monitoring takes place in the Azure cloud environment of our processor Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. Your personal data is stored exclusively on servers within the EU.
This data processing is based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Because without the transmission of this information, we would not be able to detect errors in our game as reliably, analyze them and fix their cause.
We only process your IP address for the automatic processing of the crash reporting tool request and delete it again after only a few seconds. We store the collected data for 9 months so that we can access and analyze crash reports afterwards.
We incorporate software development kits (SDKs) from Azure PlayFab and Epic into our game. These are services that allow us to perform real-time analytics. This allows us to continuously improve and optimize our game and your game experience.
For this purpose, we collect various analytical information about your use of Pioneers of Pagonia. This concerns in particular:
For the processing of this information, we use the service providers PlayFab, Inc. and Epic Games Commerce GmbH, which process your data on our behalf, Art. 28 DSGVO. The processing by PlayFab, Inc. takes place in one country, the USA. There is no adequate level of data protection there according to European standards. We have therefore entered into the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with PlayFab, Inc. to ensure that PlayFab, Inc. ensures an adequate level of data protection. You can find these here: https://playfab.com/privacy-terms/.
We use this information for the purpose of improving and optimizing Pioneers of Pagonia and thus contributing to an improved gaming experience. In addition, we use this information for statistical purposes, such as measuring installations and daily or monthly interactions with Pioneers of Pagonia.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO
We store this information as long as your user account exists with us. If we continue to store information after the end of our contractual relationship or after deletion of your user account in order to improve or optimize the game or to optimize our monetization, we will anonymize this data so that it is no longer possible to assign the information to you or your user account, Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) DSGVO.
If it is necessary for the clarification of an illegal use of our game or our services or for legal prosecution, personal data will be processed by us or forwarded to law enforcement authorities and, if necessary, to injured third parties. However, this only happens if there are concrete indications of unlawful or abusive behavior. A transfer may also take place if this serves the enforcement of terms of use or other agreements. We are also legally obligated to provide information to certain public authorities upon request. These are law enforcement agencies, authorities that prosecute administrative offenses subject to fines and the tax authorities.
The processing and disclosure of this data is based on our legitimate interest in combating abuse, prosecuting criminal offenses and securing, asserting and enforcing claims and that your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data do not override, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, or due to a legal obligation under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO.
We process and disclose personal data to auditors, accounting service providers, lawyers, banks, tax advisors and similar bodies to the extent that this is necessary for the provision of our services (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO) or the proper operation of our business, including the enforcement of or defense against legal claims and legal proceedings (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or we are obliged to do so (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. c DSGVO).
We do not use any automated processing processes vis-à-vis you to make a decision concerning you or for profiling for this purpose.
As a data subject, you have a right to information about the processed data, a right to rectification of your personal data, a right to erasure of your personal data, a right to restriction of the processing of your personal data and a right to data portability in accordance with the legal requirements.
In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation, if the data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. e or lit. f DSGVO (including profiling) or if data is processed for direct marketing purposes.
In case of consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time, Art. 7 para. 3 p. 1 DSGVO. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until your revocation.
You also have the right to lodge complaints with a supervisory authority.
Finally, we would like to point out that we process the personal data provided by you when exercising your rights pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 DSGVO for the purpose of implementing these rights and to be able to provide proof thereof. This processing is based on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO.
